'Twas the Day After...

Roo proclaims a two thumbs up Christmas!

and I agree. We celebrated at my daughter's home this year where everything was bright and beautiful and of course we ate too much and wished for room enough for just one... more... piece of.... pie...

Now, the darkest days of winter are over and we're looking ahead to the new year with it's infinite possibilities. Ee and I put down our books to study the seed catalogs that have already started arriving in the mail. This year, I'm hoping to grow some of those tiny grape sized tomatoes. I'm watching some seeds on eBay...guess I'll get serious and bid on them.

Right now, I think I'll visit some blogger buddies...and maybe for breakfast, have..some left over scalloped potatoes...and just a very small slice of pie...

PIE!!! It just dawned on me that we did not have a single slice of pie at any of our gatherings. OMG, I must try to bake a pie today.

Your Christmas sounds wonderful and I love the two thumbs up girl! She's a cutie patootie.

Happy New Year to you!

Two thumbs up to you, too. What a pretty smile :)

I did eat some pie, but it was a storebought pumpkin, so not all that great :(

I loved how you wrote about all the exciting possibilities for the New Year. Gives me hope since my New Year is not starting off so great...

Merry Christmas to you and your family!!

Now that's my kind of breakfast....I do the leftovers all the time.
so glad you had such a wonderful Christmas. We did too. Christmas Eve at the son's house with 30 other family and friends. And yes, we ate far too much but it was sooooo good.
Have a wonderful New Year too.

Speaking of pie -- some sad news. While Kate was here, we went over to PV for rhubarb pie -- turns out that Berry's is no longer. Somebody's pizzas & subs. You now hear a wailing and g-nashing of teeth! In the meantime, here's wishing you a most wonderful year ahead!

Lisa I always look at the New Year as a fresh start, make far too many resolutions to actually accomplish..
I'm sorry things aren't going well for you...I'm wishing you a Happy, Healthy and prosperous New Year!

Thanks, Photo!
Your Christmas sounds wonderfully full of family and friends! I hope you have lots of breakfast leftovers!
A Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year to you and your family!

GJ, I'd heard that Berry's home of the only real rhubarb pie in the tri city area had closed. Mine aren't as good as theirs, but I pledge to bake one for you once in a while:) I wish you a wonderful year too!

Helen, I had fun catching up at your site. I need to drop by for MBs version.

Dana, I'll be right over:) I really didn't get around as I'd homed.. Diabetes is a hard one. My DH has it and now my Mom's been diagnosed.
