E is for Eagle

The Bald Eagle, our National symbol..........long may they fly.

If you like, you can read some interesting facts about The American Bald Eagle while go I warm up a piece of leftover pie for breakfast....or dressing...or pie..or....

For the laugh of the day, go over to Bec's and see what her son got for his birthday. Tiz a bit of a shocker...

When we lived in Valdez, we had Bald Eagles EVERYWHERE. In October, we could drive out to the Lowe River flats and photograph them by the hundreds. They like to fly south to Haines, AK, for the winter, because the rivers there don't freeze in the winter, and there are always fish. Fun to watch.

Hope your Thanksgiving was very thanky.

Our first year, we spotted on bald eagle. Last year we saw THREE in the same area. They are so magnificent.

Thanksgiving is all about left over white turkey on fresh sandwich bread with lots of mayonaise. That is recommended for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

OSD, it would be so awesome to see Bald Eagles in those numbers!
We have one or two pairs in our area, but that's it.
Very thanky, thanks:)

Lisa, this alphabet thing isn't as easy as I thought it would be!
MmmmmI do love yams. Your casserole sounds delish..

GA, Oh Yeah..a turkey sandwich would go very nicely about now..
That's interesting about your Bald Eagle colony growing instead of deminshing..that's such a positive note:)
