C is for Crocodile

There are, to my knowledge, two types of crocs here, viz, the freshwater and the salties. The former don't worry folk too much; however, the latter are to be highly respected, if not feared. They attain lengths upwards of 15 metres and are rather pugnaceous. Avoid at all costs.

Curmudgeon, this was on a river alright! I believe the Alligator River..I didn't realize there were alligators in Australia.
