Congratulations to your first great grandson, Linda. What a great joy! I wonder what his eye color will be when he opens his eyes.

Thank you Olivia! I'm guessing brown although he has quite a lot of very blond hair..

Hello Linda,

has Riley opened his eyes? May we see?
You must be very excited about this new child in your family.

Thanks, ex-shammickite!

Olivia, I haven't seen him with his eyes open! It's only due to the internet that I have some pictures. The kids live in California, but I've been in on all the excitement ever since I opened my email last spring and there was my Granddaughter's sonogram showing the little fellow quite clearly! Isn't that amazing? I'll share pix as they arrive. Right now his eyes are probably that cloudy blue most new babies seem to have in common.

Thank you, Linda, I am looking forward to seeing new photos of Riley Dean on your blog.
"cloudy blue " - how nice.

Here is my Haiku for him:

Eyes of cloudy blue
pink face, a shock of blonde hair -
baby Riley Dean.
