Friendship

This is my best friend, Donna. We met in the eighth grade fifty-seven or so years ago, and although she's lived all her adult life in Florida while I remained here in our home town of Prescott, we've remained close.
I like this photo of her because it shows how brave she was to hold my grandchildren's pet snake with no shivers or squeals although she clearly wasn't enthusiastic about it. She's brave that way..and she's fun to be around...and we share a million memories of two silly girls trying to grow up....

Sometimes you meet someone and something just clicks.........

Have a beautiful day....

Best friends are great!

I wish I could see more of mine. Right now both of our lives are full of wonderful children, so we don't see much of each other. We met in college, and have 6 kids & 2 husbands between us.

Most of my best friends from earlier days are gone at this point in my life -- it's a real problem as one gets older & older. My mother, for example, had to make new friends who were much younger than she; when she died at 104, her friends were largely of my generation (and younger).

My best friend and I met in elementary school. I've been wanting to see her so I'm thinking about posting her picture on my blog. That would get her here! LOL She is beautiful (as is your friend) but doesn't think so.

That was such a beautiful clip. It had me in tears when they brought Bella out to see Tara. I have a thing for elephants and now I MUST go to this sanctuary, NOW! Oh and your friend Donna is very brave. No way would I ever pick up a snake!

Hello Linda,
You must have had a great time together.
I have only a few good friends and they're the best! One of my friends I've had since I was a baby.
Your friend sure is brave to hold the snake!
Have a great weekend,
Lydia

Well Bother! I thoutht I answered these comments this morning! Guess it didn't take:o(

Gem, it's nice to have a best friend even if you don't see her often..you just sit down with a cu[ of coffee and take up where you left off whenever!

GJ, I think it must be hardest after you've lost your closest best friend, your husband. So many people love you and are proud to be your friends, but it can't be the same...

GA, I'm looking forward to meeting your best friend! Hopefully she'll pay you a visit!

Helen, that video really got to me too. What an unlikely couple!

Lydia, you're so right! Those people who just "click" and who stick with you are priceless:)

I don't really have a best friend any more. Which makes me very sad and lonely at times.
Loved that video clip about the elephant and the dog.

Sham, know that you do have lots of blogger friends who love you! And who knows, mayber you'll find a new best friend this year just as Tara and Bella found one another:)

Awww, what a special friend you have.
It makes me sad that all of my dear friends live far away from me. Tara and Bella are very lucky to be so close. It will be a very sad day when Bella passes away. Elephants live for such a long time.

That video made me cry.
Thanks for sharing

Lisa, I thought of the same thing! How will Tera cope? I doubt she'll find another canine friend..will she be able to relate to another elephant/
