Back Again...

.........if you'll have me!
I want to apologize to those who expressed concern for my well being. I didn't mean to let my loyal blog friends down I just didn't go ablogging for most of this time. When I did, I read your wonderful comments and then vowed to blog and to visit other blogs immediately. Then I felt a little..well .... stage fright..,but I'm taking the plunge here and now.
I quit blogging cold turkey in order to accomplish some things I wanted to do and couldn't seem to find time to do what with all the reading and writing. I knew the minute I logged on, I'd be hooked again and sit around in my Pooh slippers and pj's as time slipped enjoyably through my fingers.

I turned seventy this year and for some reason, became acutely aware of time's swift passage. Until now, I had never experienced that bit of depression and portent that others I've known have felt when confronted by a milestone birthday. There is so much left to do and to enjoy in this life!

Eeyore's sunflowers bade a lovely farewell to summer...

I'm going to take some time to read and comment on other blogs and to update my links. I'll be bringing you up to date on the most notable happenings here at the One Acre wood over the next few posts.

So glad to see you are back in the blogging world. It is time comsuming but I enjoy it.
I think you hit the nail on the head when you wrote about mile stone birthdays and the feelings attached to them. Maybe that's why I'm feeling a bit discombuberated (sp?) myself. Coming up on the big Medicare Birthday in November and I find it shocking. How did I get to be this old? Its pure craziness.
Ok, enough about me...welcome back and just blog when you can not because its a duty.
Take a look at some of the pictures in my archives to catch up on what's been going on in my life.

I know exactly what you mean about the milestone birthdays..they have a way of just sneaking up on you, before you know it! :)

I love you, She--jump in now, with both feet!

I guess I need to say, welcome back. I did the same thing and deleted everything on my brookville blog and then started it again.

I did mine because my rheumatoid arthritis has been killing me and it was just painful at times and easier to sit in a recliner than at a desk chair.

good news from the one acre wood! my darling baby falls from the Gag tree on her Daddy's side. Wanda Gag was born in New Ulm. Gone is Gone is a first edition in my collection to my own departed Father "to Jimmy"(who I probably had mentioned lived in Prescott)..it shall always remain a classic as we can never be reminded enough of the grace our female capabilities offer our world. We love Wanda here at The Bohemian, and as you recognize: the magical connections are blessings...blogging simply serves as a vechicle of discovery. How enchanting to meet someone whose first book of reading was written by a woman I not only admire, but impersonate on occasion. More fodder for the next engagement as Wanda. sometimes life is wonderfully peculiar!

Hurrah for the return of SOLB! (Hope my "Obama for President" sign isn't causing you too much distress!)

bobbi, I can pretty well cite Gone is Gone to this day! Remember when pc had yet to attack the humor in life?
I'll be back to visit your B&B! Wish it could be more than a virtual visit! It looks as though it would be a delightful place to stay:)
I remember that your Dad was an asthmatic kid who came here to catch his breath just as I did. What was his name? Wonder if one of us went to school with him!

Hi Katie, hasn't it been more than a year since we met over potluck and had a real visit? Well, maybe just as well to wait until post Nov. 4 now! Thanks for checking up on the OAW and for leaving me a comment. We thought about a McCain/Palin sign, but never got around to it and it's gettin' late in the day.....
Say Hi to Don.... hope to see you soon:)
